What is an SMD Bulb?
SMD means Surface Mount Device (diode), so instead of the LEDs being mounted low in the base, the new chips are now surface mounted higher resulting in a much brighter bulb. Going forward this style will be our standard bulbs. For matching reasons, we will stock both styles for the 2018 season, then in 2019 it will be the only bulb we stock. Less Power - More Lumens!
LED Holiday Lighting's G40 SMD LED Retrofit Bulbs are perfect for Patios, Summer Parties, and Outside Holiday Decorations. These large round, retrofit (replaceable) LED light bulbs have an 1-1/2" diameter, and will screw into any C9 or E17 socket. They are available in Warm White, with either a Smooth Opaque finish, and new for the 2018 season a smooth clear finish. Each bulb will draw only .58 watts and will stay cool to the touch, making them a safe option, that will also save you money on your electric bill.
