She Lights Up Your Life, So You Should Light Hers

Brace yourselves people, the mother of all holidays is fast-approaching! No, not Cinco de Mayo, although I do love a good margarita. Of course, I am speaking of none other than Mother’s Day.
You may be interested to know that the modern holiday of Mother’s Day first came on the scene in 1908, when Anna Jarvis held a memorial for her mother, Ann Jarvis, in Grafton, West Virginia. I know, confusing, that Ann decided to name her daughter Anna. But she’s not a junior. Don’t make that mistake. Well, Ann Jarvis, the mom, had previously founded Mother's Day Work Clubs in five cities across the US to improve sanitary and health conditions for working men and women. After Anna held that memorial for Ann, (are you still with me?) she campaigned to make Mother's Day a recognized holiday. Her wish was finally granted in 1914. But guess what? Old Anna, the daughter, had grown tired of the commercialization of the holiday, in particular, the use of printed greetings cards. Don’t tell Hallmark! Anna incorporated herself as the Mother's Day International Association, trade-marked the phrase 'Mother's Day’, and was arrested for disturbing the peace on more than one occasion. That Anna was quite the rebellious flapper. Anna and her sister, Annathree, just kidding, Ellsinore, spent their inheritance campaigning against Mother’s Day and what it had become and both died in poverty.
LED Cherry TreeWell, isn’t that story something! But fret not, for although old Anna had it in for printed greeting cards, we are fairly certain she would have LOVED holiday lighting for her Tee-Shirt - "I'm Mom's Favorite"mom and moms everywhere. Why send your mom a bouquet of flowers that will wilt in a few days? Send your mom an LED cherry tree, lit with beautiful premium grade LED cherry blossom lights, in blue, green or warm white. It’s the gift that will warm her heart for many years to come and you’ll totally score more points than that overachieving brother of yours.
Do you REALLY want to let mom, and all her neighbors, know how much she’s loved? Fill her yard with red, pink and white light spheres, spell out her name or better yet, “I heart mom” in M5 mini LED lights, and then, for the ultimate homage to La Mama, drape her trees in 5MM LED “Twinkle Lights”. You’ll be sitting pretty in your “I’m Mom’s Favorite” t-shirt, as you sip margaritas, or coffee, or Tab, or Metamucil, with the wonderful one you call mother.

Happy Mother’s Day to all the fabulous moms out there!
